the inn

the inn
Author: the frozen moon

A young couple walked down the path of a beaten road hand in hand. One had wild and untamed able golden locks that jutted from his head. His counter part had straight long hair its tint was bubble gum pink.

“naruto” the pink haired woman said in a tired voice.

“Hm?” he asked with out opening his mouth. Looking down at her with love in his eyes.

“can we rest at the inn to night?” sakura asked pointing too the small old building just across the path. Naruto smiled slightly.

“anything” he said pecking her delicately on her lips “for my sakura-chan” he said pulling away for their kiss to soon for her tastes.

“Naruto how many times do I tell you that your to good for me?” sakura asked as they walked to the inn which was marked by the two red banners in front of the door signaling vacancy.

“as many times as I tell you that that’s not true and that I love you all the same” naruto said with his ear to ear grin that melted the hearts of any girl that looked at him, that and his 6’1 frame and lean muscular body and drop dead gorgeous facial features.

“then I say that I love you to and we normally end that conversation with this” she said pulling his head down into a full out make out session. Sakura always gets what she wants. “now lets get inside my feet are killing me.” sakura said walking though the sliding door way that was just above the ground in order to keep the dirt out.

“hello welcome to the nas-treverp inn.” said a woman beautiful and extremely busty woman behind a polished oak desk much like the rest of the building. “how may I tell you today.” she asked as the walked up to the desk.

“hello ma’am” naruto said bowing causing the woman to fume that he called her ma’am and sakura to giggle. “we would like two rooms please.” naruto said like normal routine. Sakura frowned slightly and tried to speak up but was cut off by the counter woman.

“oh so your not with her” the woman said leaning over showing off her massive breasts to naruto “well I might just pay you a little visit in the night” she said in seductive tone that could make any man pass out from blood loss or take her right then and there add that with a wink on top. But naruto was immune to her affects.

“naruto why did you ask for two rooms were married now?” sakura asked looking at her husband. Naruto just laughed and scratched the back of his head.

“oh yeah I guess it just kinda slipped my mind.” naruto said as he chuckled lightly in a very nervous manner.

“WHAT!” sakura yelled hitting him on the top of the head hard. “we just got married yester day how could you forget!?”

“not the brightest bulb is he.” the woman asked looking down at the man on the floor.

“better than one that doesn’t shine.” she said in a hush tone before glaring daggers which to sakura were more like bastard swords at her. “if you ever hit on him again or insult him I’ll make sure you can’t move.” she said darkly which was pretty difficult when you have pink hair.

“yes ma’am” she said in fear backing away from the counter.

“good” sakura said smiling “I’d like one room please.” the service lady hander a key with a number on it. “thank you.” sakura said dragging naruto down the hallway.

“that bitch has to be bipolar.” she said out loud. “but dam that guy was hot especially with those whisker marks.”

Sakura opened the door to reveal a large room the only furniture was the large king sizes bed a dresser two night stands and one killer view of the mountains. Sakura threw naruto on the bed causing him to bounce up high. Sakura sighed and turned her attention to the bath room.

“ a bath sounds nice right now.” she said stretching as she made her way to the closed oak door she assumed was the bath room. “wow” was the only word that escaped her mouth as she gazed at the pure ivory marble room. A very large bath was on the far side of the room a door leading to the toilet and sink was carved out of oak. Next to her was a cabinet full of all kinds of bath goodies. Like any other woman she instantly feel in love with the bath room.

Sakura began striping down to her bared essentials and walked over to the full body mirror and began to examine her naked figure. She smiled slightly at her figure long graceful legs let up to a large round and firm buttocks which was the only thing that kept people from saying she was as flat as a bored. Her stomach was thin and muscles were lightly defined so not to betray her feminine physic. She frowned when she looked at her breasts sometimes she wondered why she even wore a bra she always did want giant breasts. Then came the thing she dreaded most her large forehead though her husband seemed to like his words were “its very kissable.” shrugging it off she turned to the tub and began to fill it with warm crystal clear liquid.

After the tub filled up she brought an arm full of lotions and shampoos over next to the tub. She genteelly lowered her self into the warm liquid and let out a calming sigh.

“oww” she heard a groan from the other side of the wall. “sakura-chan were are you?” she heard naruto ask.

“I’m taking a bath!” she shouted smiling slightly.

“oh well I have to go to the toilet.” naruto said from the other side of the door.

“then come in and go” she said rolling her eyes before lowering her face into the water. She watched as the door cracked open slightly allowing just enough room for naruto to slide in his back against the wall his hand was covering his eyes as he slid before entering the separate room to take a relief. Sakura giggled then rolled her eyes. Naruto walked out of the toilet room in the same manner but half way to the other door sakura’s voice rang in his ears.

“naruto were married you can look at me naked.” she said sternly.

“I know sakura-chan but I don’t want to make you mad” naruto said his hand still covering his eyes.

“whats making me mad is your still dressed and your giving me a back rub.” that was all the motivation naruto needed he was in the water before his cloths hit the ground.

“sakura-chan you’re the most beautiful girl I know” naruto spoke as he gave sakura a back rub. Sakura smiled at his words they were pure and had no expectations to beheld in them. Suddenly an idea popped into sakura’s head and an open smile of pleasurable intent spread across her face.

“hey naruto?” sakura asked in a sweet voice.

“yes my sakura-chan?” naruto’s words triggered sakura to free herself from his grip and flip around in the water putting his head in leg lock. “sakura-chan?” naruto asked staring into her wet womanhood in a stunned state.

“I want you to eat my pussy” sakura said smirking. Naruto blinked for a second before he started kissing the inside of her legs teasing her to no end. “naruto” sakura said weakly as naruto’s kisses went up and down her nerves. “stop teasing.” naruto quickly obeyed and liked her lips earning himself an ecstatic moan out of the natural pink haired woman. His tongue dove in splitting her apart. Sakura arched her back almost putting her head under water as she felt naruto’s hot tongue slide its way into her. “oh god if this is what him eating me out feels like I can’t wait for actual sex” was her one thought in her moment of clarity before it was washed over by pleasure. Naruto began to twist his tongue and swirl it this sent sakura over the edge causing her to cry out in her best organism to date. Warm creamy juices splashed naruto’s face as he greedily licked It up.

“mmm sakura-chan you taste so good.” naruto said wiping away the last of her cum. Sakura released him from her leg lock and kissed him lightly on the lips.

“thank you naruto that was amazing” sakura said falling on to naruto’s chest. Naruto smiled and reached for a purple container and squeezed it’s the light pink colored lotion in his hands as he began to rub sakura down with the body wash. He started with her shoulders and slowly made his way down to her small breasts. As he massaged the lotion into her breast she began to moan. “don’t stop” she said making sure his hands continued their work. Naruto chuckled as he reached for more of the lotion and poured it on to her chest causing her to shudder at the cold. Sakura began to moan more and more as naruto massaged her. Naruto began to notice that their was more to grab, still rubbing his wife’s breasts he peered over her shoulder. And there they were in his hands two beautiful C-cup breasts and they looked like they were slowly growing.

“sakura-chan?” naruto asked his answer was a hmm “your boobs are growing.”

“I know” sakura said as naruto continued to massage her still growing breasts.

“do you want me to stop.” sakura shook her head no.

“no it feels Sooooo goooood” sakura said as she moaned again her breasts were quickly surpassing Double D’s causing naruto’s arms to become strain to reach the nipples. “besides I always want giant boobs.” she said kissing him on the cheek.

“sakura turn around I can’t reach your nipples.” naruto demanded in a husky voice that turned sakura on even more. Sakura did as she was told and looked down at naruto’s stiff member easily surpassing every other mans by at least two inch’s and thickness. Naruto looked at sakura’s new breasts and blood was rushing to his penis so fast that it was about ready to explode. Naruto quickly grabbed the bottle and undid the lid pouring it all onto sakura’s still firm breasts, naruto grabbed both F-cup fleshy mountains and began to kneed them as he felt sakura ease her self onto his throbbing member. Some how sakura had managed to fit all of him in her and began to bounce up and down.

“oh god naruto your so big!” sakura cried out as her h-cup breasts bounced up and down as naruto massaged and sucked on the nipples. Naruto began to buckle his hips to match sakura’s amazing speed. Naruto suddenly gasped in pain as sakura’s strong pussy clamped down onto his giant member.

“sakura your to tight.” naruto said in a wincing voice but the pain went by as pleasure passed over it. Pressure began to build in naruto’s rock hard dick. “sakura-chan I’m going to cum!” naruto yelled as his hand still gripped sakura’s still firm and bouncy I-cup breast.

“me too!” sakura screamed as she came to an organism twice has pleasurable as the one before. Naruto groaned as he shot a loud so hard into sakura it made her shot up off his dick. Sakura gasped looking at her hug boobs “wow this has to be the best honey moon ever.” naruto merely nodded in agreement

The next morning a man with blue hair walked out into the service area were the woman sat.

“heres your mail sir.” the man took it and looked down and opened the one envolope. He opened it then hung his head down

Mimpi Basah Naruto

Author: Hola-Ucup-Disini

“Enak sekali nih, abis latihan, makan ramen. Abis makan ramen, aku pulang and mandi air panas dan langsung tidur siang” gumam Naruto.

Selesai mandi, Naruto mendengar ketukan di pintu apartemennya. “sebentar aku bukain” jawab Naruto.

Kedua-duanya saling bertatap mata.

Naruto mengikuti instink sex-nya. Naruto melepaskan ciuman tadi dan mulai mencium leher Hinata.

Hinata melenguh “Ouhh, Naruto-kun. Ahhh”. Hinata mulai meraba punggung Naruto.

Selagi dia mencium leher Hinata, Naruto mencari resleting jaket Hinata.

Naruto masih terus mengikuti instink sex-nya. Naruto mulai menciumi perut Hinata, terus kebawah sampai ke bagian G-Spot Hinata dan “Esshhh Naruto jangan berhenti, tteeeerruuussss eeesssshhh”.

Tangan kanan Naruto mulai meremas bagian kiri buah dada Hinata, sedangkan tangan kirinya memegang kedua kaki Hinata untuk terus mengangkang.

Vagina Hinata mulai bertambah basah dan basah, seketika terdengarlah suara lenguhan hebat “Ahhh Naruto aaaakkkuuu kelll- Shhhss Achhhs ssshhh”. Hinata menjambak rambut Naruto dan melepaskan jambakannya lalu lemas.

“Hinata kamu puas?” tanya Naruto.

Hinata hanya mengangguk. Tangan Hinata kini meraih kejantanan Naruto.

“Naruto kamu ngapain disini bersama Hinata?” Suara itu keras dan menggelegar.

“Ehh Sakura-chan sa-sa-“ Ucapan Naruto terhenti oleh pukulan Sakura.

“Sakura-chan ampyunn” Naruto teriak dalam mimpinya.

“Naruto-kun ada apa?” Hinata mulai membangunkan Naruto.

“Hinata aku sayang kamu. Mau nggak kamu jadi pacar aku?” tanya Naruto dengan wajah puppy love.

“Hmm, pasti Naruto. Aku mau jadi cewek kamu” jawab Hinata dengan muka merah dan perasaan senang.

“Kalau begitu kita ngedate sekarang. Gimana kalau kita ke Ichiraku ramen?” ajak Naruto.

“Dengan celana seperti ini, Naruto-kun? Aku malu” jawab Hinata.

“Tenang-tenang kita keringin dulu celana kita terus kita makan siang bareng ya” kata Naruto dengan tampang seneng banget.

Akhirnya setelah celana kering mereka jalan bareng ke Ichiraku ramen. ‘gara-gara mimpi basah, aku jadian ama Hinata’ pikir Naruto

Midnight Confessions

Author: Kiya Sama

Sasuke sat in his usual position – as far away from his teammates as he possibly could – while he listened idly to Kakashi’s droning about an upcoming assignment. He twirled his kunai lazily in one hand, his smoldering eyes lowered to the ground as he tried to make sense of what had made him act that way on that fateful night. It wasn’t as if it was something that he wanted to rehash over and over again in his mind, but there was no denying that he was still embarrassed about the way he had gone about getting Naruto’s attention.

Anything but a kiss, he thought wearily.

Rubbing a hand across his eyes, he stole another glance at his rival, embarrassed yet again to find himself wondering just what Naruto had really thought about the entire thing. They had not spoken much to each other since the festival had ended two weeks ago. Sure, they saw each other every now and then on the streets, but neither had brought up the incident. It wasn’t as if they had anything in particular to talk about. It was usually a ‘Hey’ and some customary pleasantries before heading their separate ways.

Sasuke couldn’t help feeling the disappointment well within him at the thought. Just what had he been expecting? Had he actually thought that showing he cared a little bit would have made the blond shinobi any friendlier? No, that wasn’t it. Naruto had always been friendly; it was just he, Sasuke, had the problems being more acceptable to Naruto’s advances – no, to anyone’s advances.

But, I made the first move. He should have at least said something…

Something like what? ‘Oh, I love you, Sasuke and never ever want to let you go!’ Bah…who was he kidding? Naruto would never say such a thing. And the genius chuunin knew that he would be unable to say it either. So basically, they were both going to continue living like relative strangers for the rest of their lives. That seemed like the perfect plan.

But then again…he couldn’t help feeling resentful at the blond for making him feel this way. Who was Naruto to make him feel so insecure and helpless? Who did Naruto think he was to make him want to throttle and yet kiss those lips a million times over? Who did Naruto…?

“Sasuke-kun? Sasuke-kun?! We’re ready to go now.”

He lifted his gaze to stare at the smiling green-eyed girl before him, wondering what she could be talking about now. It took all of a few seconds to realize that Kakashi’s speech was finally over. Everyone was staring at him. Sakura was staring with concern, Kakashi looked passive, and Naruto...wasn’t even looking at him! The blond was busy fixing up his headband. For a brief instant Sasuke had the insane urge to rip the headgear off the kyubi’s head and toss it away forever.

“Sasuke-kun?” Sakura asked again, until Sasuke gave a small sigh and rose to his feet.

“I’m ready…let’s go.”

Seeing the pleased smile on the pink-haired girl’s face made the genius chunnin a bit queasy. He had been upset with her for what she had said to Naruto on the night of the festival, but Sakura had apologized – and in front of him, too – to Naruto. And now apparently things were back to normal between his two teammates, although Sasuke had noticed that Naruto wasn’t as enthusiastic in his usual accolades about the young girl.

Maybe things were looking up… he hoped.

Sasuke stole another glance over his shoulder to see what his rival was up to. He wasn’t the least surprised to find the vivacious blond talking to their instructor in a way that made Sasuke wish he was the one in Kakashi’s position. Unaware that he had given a small sigh, he was surprised to hear the question from Sakura’s lips.

“Is everything alright, Sasuke-kun? You look a bit…” She twiddled her thumbs shyly as she wondered if she dared say it out loud. But deciding that it wouldn’t hurt, she finished softly. “You look a bit…eh…sad. Is there anything I can get for you?”

Or do for you? She thought desperately as she tried hard to keep up with the striding figure. She would be seventeen in a few months and she was yet to have her first real sexual experience. All this time, she had been saving herself for the dark-haired shinobi, wondering if he would ever ask her out for a real date or even for something more than just a chaste kiss on the cheek. But no, she never could get the nerve to ask Sasuke for such a thing. As much as she longed for the boy to claim her as his, she was beginning to have a small nudge of doubt in her mind.

The rumor was beginning to rise out of the grapevines like an annoying pest. She had tried to ignore them all. She had tried to tell herself that perhaps it was all just one big elaborate plot by Ino-pig to get Sasuke all to herself. But as time had gone by and days had turned into weeks and weeks into months and months into years, Sakura had yet to find something tangible to dispel the rumor.

Had Sasuke ever kissed a girl at all before?

The fact was well known that the genius chuunin had kissed at least one person, as her mind took her back to that damning moment so long ago. It was an accident, she reminded herself, like she always did when she thought of it. If it wasn’t for Naruto being so nosey and getting in Sasuke’s face all the time, none of that would have happened. That kiss would never have happened! And that was why all the rumors had begun to spread. Many were beginning to think that Sasuke might be…

“Ah, it’s not true!”

The dark-haired boy blinked in surprise at the outburst, wondering what had gotten his companion so flustered. He watched her slap a hand over her mouth before she began to apologize profusely.

“Uh…sorry, Sasuke-kun. I was just…just…thinking out loud…” Her voice faded to an embarrassed whisper, feeling suddenly grateful that they had finally reached her house.

Sasuke frowned lightly and opened up his mouth to say something, but closed it again.

They both stood with eyes lowered to the ground, neither knowing what to do now as the awkward goodbyes were about to be said. Finally giving a heavy sigh, Sakura whispered softly. “Will you at least give me a good bye kiss, Sasuke-kun?”

With a barely audible sigh of resignation, he leaned forward to place the customary kiss on her cheek, before stepping away with a wan smile. “You have a good evening now, Sakura. I will see you tomorrow morning on the bridge.” And without waiting for her response, he sunk his hands into the pockets of his pants and made his way back down the street and towards his lonely apartment.

Sakura watched his retreating form make the turn around the corner and disappear from sight. Shaking her head slowly in dismay, she was just about to make her way into her home, when the familiar taunting voice was heard.

“I told you he wasn’t into girls, Sakura. You just wouldn’t listen to me, would you?”

The girl’s grip on the doorknob tightened as she grit her teeth in growing irritation. “Ino-pig. What are you doing here?”

“Haha! Did you think I wasn’t going to see your little romantic farewell, hmm, Sakura? Come now, you only know that I am looking out for you…”

“Shut up, Ino. Sasuke is not like that!” Sakura bellowed in frustration, not caring if the neighbors heard. “Just because he doesn’t show his emotions, does not mean that he likes…he likes…” She squeezed her eyes shut and screamed out angrily. “He is that way with everybody!”

Ino gave a light snort and brushed off an imaginary line of lint from her shirt. “Hmph. If you wish to keep deluding yourself, then so be it. But we all know that he is ‘that’ way. Either that…or he’s not even a real boy. Hah! See you around, Sakura-pig!”

And with gleeful laughter on her lips, Ino pranced away, already congratulating herself on having crushed her rival for the day.

Naruto waved goodbye to the older man with a pleased smile and spun on his heels to make his way back home. His daily evening meals with Iruka-sensei were something he always enjoyed, even after all these years. Humming softly to himself, he made his way down the street, feeling as if nothing could go wrong this evening. Tomorrow, they would have a new assignment. They were to guard the Miura family, who were traveling to the Sand Village. It wasn’t exactly a Type A job that Naruto had been hoping for, but it would have to do for now. Besides, he hadn’t traveled out of Hidden Leaf since the Zabuza incident.

Kicking at a stone on the ground, he eyed the nearby shops that were beginning to close down for the night. Couples, both old and young, were making their way out on the streets and for a brief instant Naruto felt a dull ache in his chest before shaking his head and quickening his pace.

This was no time to think of that other boy. He had enough things to worry about besides having to deal with Sasuke and his issues. Unconsciously his hand went into his pocket, warm fingers wrapping around something cool and slender. Naruto pulled it out, his footsteps slowing down as he silently stared down at the bracelet. He stood in the middle of the street, the noise and bustle of early evening fading into oblivion as the letters on the bracelet glared back at him.

S-A-S-U-K-E

Kami, he was going insane.

The kyubi had told himself that, that night had only been a figment of his imagination. He had placed the bracelet beneath his pillow and had slept on it, hoping that perhaps the next day, the name would have vanished and be replaced with Sakura’s name instead. But no such luck. The annoying boy’s name had still been etched into the silver jewelry. Naruto refused to think of what it meant.

Explain the kiss then, his mind taunted.

Fingers brushed against parted lips, like they had been doing for the past two weeks. He still could not believe that he and Sasuke had actually done that. And to make things worse, Naruto found that he wanted to do it all over again. He wanted to do a whole lot more than just a…

“That’s it,” Naruto told himself sternly. “I need to take some medicine and then lie down and then forget this whole thing. I have an assignment tomorrow and I have to get a good night’s rest. Kakashi-sensei’s orders!”

“Oi…Naruto-kun!”

The blond spun around quickly as he heard the familiar voice of the old lady who’d sold him the bracelet.

“Ojousan!” Naruto cried out happily as he ran towards her hunched form. He had tried to visit her shop the day after the festival to get some answers, but had found only her grandson instead. She was traveling out of the village to heal a dying child and the young man had had no idea when his grandmother would return.

Her bright green eyes sparkled with wisdom and knowledge as she watched the blond sprint towards her, prompting a light chuckle from the old woman. She shifted her walking stick from one hand to the other and waited patiently for him to approach closer.

“Anou-san! Anou-san! I came looking for you the other day and they told me that you had traveled!” came the excited words from the teenager.

“Ah, hai…I had to do some work, Naruto-kun,” she replied quietly as she stared into the shinobi’s brilliant blue eyes. “So, why don’t you show me the bracelet? It is practically burning a hole in your pocket.”

Naruto flushed furiously, certain the old woman had already figured out what he had been seeking her presence for. Shuffling from one foot to the other, he reluctantly pulled out the silver bracelet and gave it to her, too ashamed to lift his gaze from the floor as he held his breath and waited for her verdict.

For long heart-stopping minutes, she said nothing. When Naruto felt he couldn’t take it any more, she spoke up with faint amusement in her voice. “Just as I had thought, Naruto-kun. The right name has been etched in forever.”

The kyubi shook his head frantically. “But why is that? Why did it have to be Sasuke? I don’t even really like him that well! I thought you said that the name of the one you love is supposed to appear.”

An enigmatic smile came to her lips. “Magic never lies, Naruto-kun,” she replied softly as she began to make her way home. “Why try to deny an emotion that has only grown throughout the years, hmm?”

Naruto followed her silently, not really able to think up of some excuse that sounded feasible. Had he really had such a strong emotion for the dark-haired boy? Was that really the reason for this helplessness that seemed to wash over him whenever he was near Sasuke? That voice that kept crying out for him to see the situation as ‘wrong’ seemed to grow weaker and weaker and before he realized it, he muttered softly.

“He doesn’t even…I don’t think he…”

“Then why don’t you find out, Naruto-kun?” She had finally stopped in front of her doorstep as she turned slowly to smile at the frustrated teen. “There’s only one way to find out.”

With eyes that blazed with desperation, he cried out. “How, Ojousan? Tell me how!”

But all he got in reply was another enigmatic smile and the softly spoken words. “You will find out soon enough.”

Half an hour later, the kyubi was standing in front of a certain dark-haired boy’s house with a flood of curses spilling out of his lips. Of all his rotten luck, he had to be here. Why couldn’t he have gone to anyone else’s house? Why did it have to be this one? He didn’t want to be here. He would have rather slept on his rooftop or on his patio, but with the rising winds and the smell of rain in the air, Naruto knew that those options were at the bottom of his list.

He cursed his luck one more time for good measure. When he’d gotten to his front door, he’d discovered his keys were not in his pockets. He had nearly stripped down to bare skin as he searched desperately, hoping and praying that it was all a sick, practical joke. But five minutes of frantic searching had revealed nothing. His keys were not in his pockets.

Without wasting any time, he had begun to retrace his steps back to the Ramen shop, the last place he’d been. To his growing sense of panic, the shop had closed down for the night. He’d been left with the option of going to Iruka-sensei’s house to ask for help, but on getting there, he had been surprised to find that the man in question was not at home. Second option: go to Kakashi-sensei’s house, but somehow he wasn’t sure that the white-haired man would be willing to house him for the night. There was no harm in trying. But as luck would have it, Kakashi wasn’t home either. Had all the jounins decided to leave town tonight?

Or maybe, Naruto thought with another curse, the universe was just back to its old tricks.

With a hopelessness he hadn’t felt in a long time, Naruto had sat on a nearby street bench and tried to think of anywhere else he could spend the night. Well, there was Shikamaru, but he could already envision the boy’s answer. Shikamaru would probably think he was insane and then make up some excuse for him not to be there. He couldn’t ask Chouji, they weren’t really that close. Kiba…no. Lee…no…he was sure he would have nightmares just thinking about sleeping beside Super Thick Eyebrows, let alone being close to him. Neji…? He might as well sleep with a thorn. Which left only one other choice – a choice that he had carefully avoided trying to think about. But it couldn’t be helped. Naruto was about to ask Sasuke for another favor and this time, he wasn’t sure he had to strength to control what might happen.

...You will find out soon enough...

Find out what? The blond wiped a hand across his lips and swallowed tightly as he stared at the door. He couldn’t do it. He couldn’t bring himself to ask Sasuke for a chance to spend the night with him. He was too ashamed and embarrassed and…

“How long do you plan on standing here like a moron?”

Naruto spun around so fast that he almost fell to the ground in his shock. The dark-haired boy looked as if he had just returned from the baths. There was a white towel draped around his neck as his familiar spiky locks were now plastered to his scalp and face, making him look so much younger than his seventeen years.

For how long they stood there staring at each other was anyone’s guess, but finally Sasuke broke the spell with a weary sigh as he unlocked his front door. “Did you want something, Naruto?” He asked quietly, but there was a hint of impatience in his voice.

Starting in surprise at the question, the blond’s face filled with color as he shuffled his feet restlessly and murmured more to himself. “I lost my keys.”

Sasuke’s grip tightened on his doorknob as he heard the words. So, did this mean that Naruto had come here to possibly spend the night with him? The idea alone was ludicrous. There was no way that Naruto would want to…

“Well? Can I?” came the desperate plea as the first droplets of rain began to fall to the ground. “I have no where else to go to. I went to Kakashi and Iruka sensei, but neither of them were home and…and…”

A crack of thunder had them both wincing. Not allowing Naruto to finish, Sasuke placed a hand on his arm and pulled him into the small but cozy room, slamming the door shut with his foot at the same time.

“Sit down and don’t touch anything,” Sasuke retorted coldly as he stalked through a doorway. Naruto caught a glimpse of a sink, and guessed it was the bathroom. He fell to the floor in a boneless heap, his hand reaching to touch his thudding chest. Heart pounding, his curious blue eyes examined the unfamiliar surroundings in silent awe. He had never been to Sasuke’s home before, and he wasn’t that surprised to find that it was as neat and as organized as he had imagined it to be. There was a small bookshelf with several books. Most of them about Ninja fighting techniques, but that was to be expected. What seemed to be a million scrolls lined another part of the shelf and Naruto idly wondered what could possibly be in all of them. A small TV sat beside what looked to be a…video game console?

Sasuke plays video games?

His curiosity getting the better of him, Naruto got onto his hands and knees and began to crawl towards the equipment. He was just about to reach out to pick up one of the games that were stacked neatly, when Sasuke’s angry voice had him rearing back in faint alarm.

“Didn’t I tell you not to touch anything, Naruto?”

“Aieee! You don’t have to scream so loud, Sasuke! I can hear you just fine,” the blond replied loudly as they glared at each other. His line of vision was soon cut off as something soft and warm was thrown in his direction. He barely caught the pillow and blankets as he watched his rival begin to prepare two futons on the floor…with some relative distance between them. It was then that Naruto finally noticed that Sasuke was dressed in only a pair of black pajamas bottoms that barely covered his lean hips.

The smooth, pale chest was barely marred with faint scars from previous fights. Naruto’s fingers itched. He gripped the pillow a bit tighter and shifted restlessly on the floor as the silence became a bit too deafening. He opened up his mouth to say something to break the tension when Sasuke spoke curtly.

“The bathroom is over there.” The genius chuunin nodded towards a small door that stood slightly ajar. “You can change into an extra pair of pajamas that I have…if you want.”

Naruto nodded, hesitant, as he rose unsteadily to his feet. “Ah…eh…thank you,” he mumbled before entering the bathroom, closing the door behind him. Resting his forehead against the small mirror above the sink, he groaned weakly in frustration.

This was going to be one of the longest nights of his life.

Sasuke stared at the empty futon with his hands clasped tightly on his lap. He still wasn’t sure that this was really happening. He could very well be having another one of his hallucinations or daydreams or fantasies and it would all seem perfectly reasonable to him. He pinched himself on the arm gently just to be sure that he wasn’t actually dreaming things. No, he really was here. This really was his apartment and Naruto really was a few feet away from him about to sleep in the very same room.

Kuso!

He got to his feet and began pacing the enclosed space. He ran fingers through his now dry locks and stole another glance towards the closed bathroom door. What in Kami’s name was the blond still doing in there? It seemed like eons since Naruto had gone in to change. Was he suddenly deciding not to stay after all? Sasuke tried to squash down the feeling of panic at the thought. He couldn’t lose Naruto now that he had him here. This was the perfect time to…to what, exactly?

Hearing the water finally turn off, Sasuke made a beeline for his futon and slid beneath the sheets. He closed his eyes and tried to even out his breathing so it wouldn’t seem as if he had been awake. He could hear Naruto’s feet pad around the room softly. It was soon followed by the rustling sounds of he getting into his futon and then…

“Good night…Sasuke. Ah…th... thanks…”

It had been spoken softly – so softly that Sasuke was nearly sure he had been imagining it. He felt his heartbeat quicken at the words of gratitude as they sent a slow warmth down his spine, then throughout his body. Before he could stop himself, he responded in a voice that sounded a bit too thick to his ears.

“Good night…Naruto…”

The kyubi blinked in surprise at the response. He had thought that Sasuke had fallen asleep or he wouldn’t have said anything in the first place. With his face flooding with color, he burrowed deeper within the futon and tried to will himself to sleep.

Another crack of thunder had both boys wincing again. Biting his lower lip, Naruto pushed down the blanket gently knowing full well that sleep was going to be impossible…at least for a while. He stared longingly at the figure across the room, as a small sigh escaped his lips and finally deciding that he had to talk or he would go insane, he began to speak, his voice just barely a whisper.

“Are you nervous about tomorrow’s mission?”

Lightening flashed and filled the darkened room with color for a brief instant, but that was the only reply that Naruto got. Thinking that Sasuke must have fallen asleep, he gave another sigh in disappointment, only to hear the familiar voice respond quietly.

“No. Not really.”

“Oh.”

The silence fell again before it was broken by the sound of thunder. The winds had really begun to pick up now and without a doubt, Naruto knew that the roads were bound to be muddy. The journey ahead was going to be far more difficult than they had anticipated.

“I’m nervous,” Naruto finally volunteered, as it seemed like Sasuke had no plans to talk. “This is our first big test. Especially since that time we fought with Za…bu…”

His words faltered as the memory came flooding back. He had almost lost Sasuke back then. And the memory of releasing the sealed power within him, just to protect the dark-haired shinobi made him clench his hands into tight fists.

...A shinobi’s real strength comes from protecting the most important thing in his life...

Was that the answer then? Had his real strength finally come through because he had set out to avenge Sasuke’s ‘death’?

...He died protecting the most important thing...

Sasuke had ‘died’ trying to save him. Haku’s words rang like a warning bell in his mind.

“Am I…am I important to you, Sasuke?” Naruto croaked weakly. “You never did answer my question back then, you know?”

The genius chuunin stiffened at the question. He knew what Naruto meant, and he really didn’t wish to discuss it this night. “How many times do I have to tell you? I just did it, okay? Now, could you please go to sleep? You should stop thinking about things that happened in the past. We have a mission tomorrow and we have to get some res – ”

“So why did you kiss me again, Sasuke?” Naruto interrupted with faint anger in his tone. “Did you just do that because you just felt like it?”

“And what if I did?” came the angry retort. “You make it sound like it’s the end of the world, dobe!”

“Stop calling me that!” By this time, Naruto had sat up on his futon, blue eyes blazing with growing anger as he glared at the lying boy. “You said that…you said that…”

“I say a lot of things, Naruto. Now, go to bed!”

“You said that you hated me!”

A brilliant flash of lightening filled the room again as the loud sound of thunder followed soon after. It filled the thick silence in the room. Sasuke squeezed his eyes shut in a vain attempt to dispel the growing ache within his chest.

“Naruto…” he began weakly, but it seemed the blond wasn’t finished.

“You said it back then, too. You said you hated me and yet you willingly gave up your life for me!”

“Get your head out of the goddamn clouds and listen to what you are saying!” Sasuke finally yelled back as he sat up on his futon to glare across the room at the other boy. “I am alive, aren’t I? I did that because I had to. It’s part of being a shinobi - you have to protect your comrades. Now just shut up and go to…mmmmphfff!”

The lips that claimed his were filled with a desperation that resonated through Sasuke’s being. Without giving it a second thought, he parted his own lips to welcome the kyubi’s questing tongue, his eyes fluttering closed as he reached for the slender figure before him. Tongues met and clashed in a rhythm as old as time, bodies straining for release as they pressed against each other, needing more than just a mere kiss to quench the burning fire that had risen between them.

Sasuke pulled the smaller figure between his thighs, whimpering within the heated duel between their mouths as he slowly began to push Naruto back onto the comfort of the futon. With a small groan, he released the blond. His dark eyes smoldering with an intensity that almost brought out the familiar blood red coloring of the famous Sharingan within them.

Naruto opened his eyes weakly, idly thinking to himself that this moment had somehow turned out to be more than he had bargained for. He could feel Sasuke’s lips begin to trail down his neck and for a while, the blond could only sigh softly in pleasure at the sensation. It felt good to be treated like this. It felt really good to feel Sasuke respond to his kiss in such a manner. This was what he wanted, wasn’t it? A chance to see just what Sasuke thought of him. So why didn’t he feel as if this was enough? What was he really looking for from his rival?

I want him to…I want him to…

Another crack of thunder, sent the kyubi’s eyes opening wide in awareness and with a sharp cry, he pushed Sasuke away from him to quickly slip his way back into his futon. With his back turned away from the other boy, Naruto tried hard to control the trembling that continued to wrack his body. His lips still burned from the intense kiss – his body still thrumming with heat at being so close to the other. There had to be more to being in love with another person that just the physical attraction that was clearly obvious, Naruto thought sadly. True, his body now craved to know just what Sasuke had to offer, but his heart cried out for something else and until those three magical words were said to him, Naruto knew that he could never be truly satisfied.

As for Sasuke, he hadn’t even bothered to go after the blond, for he knew just what must have been going through his head. He lowered his lashes in dismay, biting his swollen lower lip as he tried to gain back some semblance of control. Eyes fading back to their usual black, he got to his feet and moved silently into the bathroom.

There really wasn’t anything much to say now. For they both knew that the hardest part of being in love was to actually say the words out loud.

Sasuke opened his eyes wearily, blinking a few times to get used to the soft light that filled the room. Yawning, he tried to rise to his feet, automatically turning his gaze towards the other side to seek for his impromptu guest. He stared at the other side of the room, noticing with a faint dismay that the futon had been wrapped up and placed neatly in a corner.

So, he has left already, hasn’t he? Naruto…

Shaking his head and trying hard not to show his disappointment, he walked into the bathroom and tried to get himself ready for the day. He was supposed to be at the bridge in a few minutes. He realized that for the first time he was actually going to be late for something. He just hoped that Kakashi would not think it too odd and start questioning him later on.

As he reached for his toothbrush inside the small cabinet above the sink, his peripheral vision caught something bright that seemed to flash for an instant. He frowned a little and bent down to pick up the slender piece of silver jewelry that looked like a bracelet. He stared at it in confusion for several minutes, wondering how it had gotten there in the first place, only to gasp in disbelief at what seemed to be happening.

Early morning light was sneaking in through the bathroom window, as Sasuke held the bracelet up to read the letters taking shape. The letters:

N-A-R-U-T-O...

…seemed to be etching itself into the silver lining. Fighting his first instinct, which was to drop it to the ground in horror, he instead, only gave a small enigmatic smile.

Hn. Interesting…

He tightened his fingers around the cool object as he spun back to continue with his toilette. Apparently, it looked as if he and the blond shinobi had some unfinished business to take care of. Things were finally beginning to look up, after all.

Don’t worry, Naruto. We will have till eternity to finally tell each other the truth.

OWARI

Of Swings and Headbands

Disclaimer: Gods, as if I could own something as good as Naruto. But it's okay. I'd probably screw it over anyway. ; Masashi Kishimoto is a god.

Yeah, if you can't tell, I -adore- Naruto. Shonen Jump is my savior. Anyway, I'd wanted to do something with Naruto for the longest time, and actually had this idea for a while. Not actually yaoi or shonen-ai, which is surprising (go SasuNaru and KakaIru!), but I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out. Almost completely one-shot, 'cept for going back to fill in skipped words, which tends to happen when I write when I'm tired. -.-; Anyway, I hope someone likes it. It was fun, especially the style.

Of Swings and Headbands

Author: Inaho

There were so many people, so many smiling faces. And why shouldn’t they smile? It was a day of great joy, great celebration. It was a day where another handful of the village’s children became adults.

From his lone seat on the swing, shadowed by the grand branches, lush with green leaves, sat a boy. A little boy with sun golden hair. A sigh escaped him, whether in awe or longing, it was undetermined.

Naruto watched the new hitai-ate leaf bands flash and wink under the afternoon sun, the light dancing as if sharing the happiness of its bearer, showing off the pride of the family. He watched the glowing faces of the fathers, the smiling eyes of the mothers. He watched them promise big dinners, new cloths, bigger allowances.

Soon. He promised himself. Soon, -he- will also be able to enter the ninja school. And soon, -he- will become the greatest ninja of this village…Hokage!

Perhaps then, he thought, then…they will finally see him. They will turn around and finally see how alone his is, and they will tell their children to go play with him and they will call his name. They’ll tell him what a good boy his is when he masters his first skill and how they’re going to make his favorite dish for dinner. They’ll tell him not to be scared at night when the thunder roars and the windows shake. And they’ll tell him how troublesome his is when he makes a mess and he’ll just smile because they can –see- him.

I want someone to notice me…I don’t want to be invisible…

“Are you going to use that swing?”

Bright blue eyes snapped to the side, where a boy his age stood not more than a few feet away. Endless black eyes matching a shock of obsidian hair atop a fair and rounded face stared at him, -through- him. He almost thought the other was looking at someone behind him; they always were. But he knew from sitting there time and time again that there was nothing behind him but bushes and squirrels.

“Hey, can you hear me?”

“You can…see me?”

The other boy frowned slightly, as if confused by such a strange question.

“Of course I can, dobe.”

“I am not a dobe.”

“Of course you are. Otherwise…” He disappeared behind him, and Naruto had to twist around to see a flash of the boy’s charcoal hair. “…you’d be swinging!”

Naruto nearly fell off from the sudden force, and only his grip on the two ropes kept his balance from the surprise push. And it was then he realized the wind was blowing through his hair and the trees were passing by in a slow pendulum movement and he was actually –swinging-! A great exhilarating feeling overcame him as he continued to travel up, his grip on the rope no longer of fear, but of hope of going higher! The sun peeked over the edge of the treetop above him as he reached the peak, and he felt an unexplainable sadness spread through him as the sun disappeared once again behind the thick blanket of leaves and he was once again falling back towards the ground. He didn’t think he’ll ever be able to experience this feeling again; his legs were too short to touch the ground and the swing would eventually stop and all he’d be able to do was sit there again and—

—and a pair of small hands were on his back, warm and soft and –touching- him, and again they pushed, but this time he was ready for it and –that- feeling returned as he sailed towards the sky, towards the sun.

“Sasuke! Time to go! Mom wants to get home to make dinner!”

“Coming aniki!” The little boy named Sasuke ran towards his beloved brother, who was freshly graduated with a new leaf band tied so proudly around his head. Before running too far, he turned around and faced Naruto, who was already coming to a stop.

“I had wanted a chance to swing, but maybe next time.”

And then he smiled.

Naruto watched, speechless, as his first friend…could he be considered a friend? … hurried towards an elder boy with similar, sharper features. This boy was looking at Naruto, even as he took his younger brother’s hand. His eyes held neither the warmth that the other parents direct towards their children, nor that hated look that they always directed at him. There was…nothing.

“Aniki, you said Mom was waiting.”

He finally turned away to look at his little brother, who tugged so intently on his hand.

“Ah. That I did.”

Naruto watched the two of them disappear beyond the horizon, neither one looking back once. And it was only until they were gone that he realized he was alone. Everyone had gone home except for him, the little boy on the swing.

Sliding forward, his feet touched the ground with a soft crunch, one hand still grasping the rope to guide him. There he stood, staring down at the worn piece of wood, his mind replaying what could not have been a few minutes, a few blissful minutes, from that whole day. And he let go of the rope.

Tomorrow, he told himself. Perhaps tomorrow…he’ll be able to swing again.

He smiled.

Author's Note: Now, before I get notes on how OOC Sasuke is, I want you to think about it. He was a normal boy before his brother went off and killed their family. I don't know much 'bout Itachi, 'cause Jump hasn't gotten there yet, but I imagine Sasuke would be pretty happy as a child and would have a good relationship with his brother. I think that's why it would hurt him so much that his brother betrayed them and why it would make him cry and become the cold reserved shinobi we all love. Does that explain everything? Oh, and I added the dobe for fun. Heh heh...hey, it had to start somewhere. Fufu.

Harmonia

Genre: Drama and Romance

Title: Harmonia

Author: Kenhime

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto. The decision of who gets to be with who should better be left in the hands of the creator Kishimoto-sensei. I just write the possible pairings. The song “Harmonia” by Rythem doesn’t belong to me, nor does the ANBU song translation.

Author’s Note: There are spoilers from chapters 144, 172, and 173. This is my musing of what would happen when Naruto goes to visit the hospital, so it would most probably turn into an alternate storyline by chapter 174. Or who knows? I could be psychic and what Naruto said would really happen. Haha…nah… The pairings are SasuSaku, NaruSaku, and SasuNaru. Now how is that possible?? SasuSaku takes precedence over the other pairings, though.

I sat up in my bed, hearing Sakura’s knife rhythmically cut the apple she had brought today. The silence was not an uncomfortable one, and even then, Sakura was humming softly to herself. It sounded familiar to my ears, yet I couldn’t recall where I heard it and what it was.

My thoughts were far from the room, however, and it rested heavily on my life’s bane—Uchiha Itachi. He had changed these five years—his eyes were much, much colder than the last time. And those blood red eyes were all the more taunting and hypnotically terrifying.

“Why are you so weak? Not enough…hatefulness…” he murmured as he continued to hold a deadly grip on me.

I held back the growl that rose out of my throat, lest Sakura would see it. I glanced at her, but she didn’t look up from her work. From the bright expression on her face and the tune she was still humming, she didn’t see my tortured countenance. Looking at her, I felt like I had failed at something, but I didn’t know what.

She gave me a smile. “Thanks…you saved me from the grip of the sand, didn’t you Sasuke?”

I kept my eyes on Naruto and Kakashi as they were training. The image of her jumping in front of me as the curse seal took over me came to mind. She had tried to protect me, but…

“No…It was Naruto who saved you.” I had wondered to myself days on end if it really was Naruto who held that enormous power. Wasn’t he supposed to be weaker than me? What had happened in those months before the exam? “He fought with all his strength to save you…unleashing a power we’ve never seen before.”

She was startled at my answer, but when she followed my train of sight and saw Naruto attempting to learn the chidori, her face dropped, as if she was almost ashamed of never having thought it. She knew my words were true. There was silence, and I glanced at her with the corner of my eye. I saw a small smile cross her face, a smile completely different from the one she had given me earlier. It was a comfortable, peaceful smile, one of the kinds you would rarely see on a person’s face.

I turned my head to glance at her, but she didn’t look at me. I frowned.

Naruto…

He was much stronger than me now. It was almost unfair. I had taken the exam to answer the question that had haunted me all my life: am I strong? And the answer I had received was the one answer I feared of all things. I existed to destroy Itachi, but this existence became hollow the moment I rushed at him. I’ve never felt this kind of self-doubt before—I had always been confident about my abilities and potential. But when a person stronger appeared—my very own teammate who vowed to outdo me one day…

That power…the shadow replications that assaulted the sand demon…the massive toad that he summoned to fight it…

The thought of it drove me insane.

“Sasuke-kun, do you want some apples?” She wore the smile she had always given me, but it just wasn’t the same. Glaring, I knocked the plate of fruit out of her hand and she let out a startled yelp. The plate broke into pieces when it hit the floor, followed by the dull thump of the cut apples.

“Sasuke-kun?” The hurt look on her eyes, the terrified reaction at my fit—I turned my head away from her and looked out the window. I wasn’t angry at her, but I couldn’t tell her I was angry at myself. I couldn’t tell her that I wasn’t able to kill my brother.

And I couldn’t tell her that I wasn’t able to protect her.

Naruto pushed away the curtains with a hand, the usual grin plastered on his face. But what he found was far from what he had expected: a dead, uncomfortable silence. Sasuke leaned forward in the medical bed, his trembling hands grasping at the sheets. Sakura was squatting on the floor, slowly and quietly picking up shards of a plate and neatly-cut pieces of fruit. Shooting an odd look at the dark-haired ninja, he bent down to help Sakura pick up the pieces. He noticed a drooping sadness in the kunoichi as she cleaned up, as if she felt like she couldn’t do anything else but clean.

When it was picked up and cleaned, Sakura thanked him and was about to leave to throw away the broken plate and apples. A hand shot out to grab her arm and she glanced at the blond-haired ninja. He gave her a questioning look, but she took his hand, squeezed it gently, and made a nod at Sasuke’s direction. Her gaze flickered down and then up at him, pleading. Naruto let out small sigh and nodded his head in consent. She smiled gratefully back and turned away.

Naruto turned to look at him, unsure of what to say. After trying to think hard for words, he gave up and settled on a tactless question. “Is there something wrong with you, Sasuke?”

His friend didn’t answer.

The usually hyperactive ninja suddenly sunk into a chair with a tiredness he never had before. He sighed. “You bastard,” he murmured. “You made Sakura-chan cry again.”

The other usually calm ninja continue to stare at his lap, visibly trembling with an unknown but powerful emotion. “Why…” his voice was hoarse. “Why does she still smile at me like that?”

“And you call me a total moron.” Naruto rubbed his eyes. It was going to be a long day…

“Naruto…you—you…I don’t get it.” Sasuke’s head snapped up to glare at him furiously. “You…and she…both of you confuse me!” Sasuke’s hands clutched his temples tightly; as if he wanted rip his brains out. “He—he said that I needed to survive in the worst possible way, to live miserably, to hate him.”

His friend furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. He? Who was ‘he?’ He had never seen Sasuke so crazy before. What was wrong with him?

Words continued to spill out of Sasuke’s mouth in a senseless order. “Isn’t it right to keep them at a distance, so that I wouldn’t have to love them, so that I wouldn’t have to feel the pain that I did when I lost them? Isn’t it right to hate to protect them? Isn’t it the reason why I lost to my brother? That I didn’t hate him enough? That my hatred wasn’t enough to make me stronger than him? Tell me, Naruto, because I…I don’t understand!”

“I don’t understand why she gives me that kind of smile despite everything…I don’t understand why you can be so strong, stronger than me, to protect her when I couldn’t.” His face was contorted with a tempest of emotions: anger, confusion, bewilderment, and jealousy. “I was supposed to be the strongest of the three of us, the one to protect you two. But I—I—failed. I even failed to succeed in the one ambition I hold.” His ejaculated words were rushed and hysterical. “I’m weak. I hate being weak. But she still smiles. And you…You proved everything I had lived for wrong. I—”

“I HATE YOU FOR THAT!”

The roar made Naruto start in his seat, his mouth slightly agape at the show of such heated emotion. Then he closed it and dropped his head forward. So that was what has been bothering Sasuke. A soft chuckle escaped from him.

Sasuke’s voice was dangerously low. “Why are you laughing?”

“Because…you are such an idiot.”

Naruto’s fist sailed through the air at Sasuke so fast that he couldn’t block. The blow caught him across the cheek and pushed the raven-haired Uchiha boy to the other side of the bed. His hand unconsciously reached up to touch the heavily bruised cheek as he looked at Naruto with a shocked stare. As he stood, Naruto rubbed his knuckles with the other hand.

“I had always wanted to do that to you, Sasuke, but I never really expected it to ever happen in real life.”

Like a wild animal striking back, Sasuke lunged forward, his own tightly-curled fist ready to fly. But, to his surprise, Naruto’s two broad fingers pushed him back by the forehead and the other hand deftly caught hold of his fist, keeping him from executing the punch. A remembrance, one that seemed so long ago, subdued his edgy temper. Sasuke resorted to glaring at him, as if he was trapped in a cage.

“I don’t want Sakura-chan yelling at me for kicking your ass when you’re still in the hospital, so let’s keep this nice and friendly, okay?” Naruto smiled grimly at him as he dropped his hold on him. “I’ve never gotten this kind of chance before, and I never will. I might as well take advantage of it. It’s time that you realize that you’re not the strongest ninja around. God, what is it with girls digging arrogant bastards like you? I will never understand. But that’s beside the point.”

“Stop whining like a spoiled brat. I’m not the kind to personally hate a lot of things like you do, but I hate it when people whine. So what if you’re not as strong as you thought? Then work harder, dumbass. If you want me to stop making you look bad, then become stronger than me.” A smirk lifted the corners of his mouth. He had always liked to throw people’s words back at them.

“What does hate do anyway? Hate sure as hell doesn’t make you any stronger. I hated the village—did I become strong that way? Hell no. I had to go the long way. Think a little bit more, idiot.” Naruto prodded Sasuke on the forehead with a finger. “Think what’s around you now—stop thinking about your damn past.”

Sasuke’s dark eyes flashed angrily. “You don’t—”

“I don’t understand, huh?” Naruto turned to face the window with arms crossed. “Sure, I don’t understand because hell, I didn’t have any parents at all. All I know is that you’ve got you, bitterness, and hate to live with. But you’ve got to get it through your head that you have another thing, a thing far better than anything else you have ever had in you. You just never realized it. That’s why you suck.”

“Then…” Sasuke asked softly. “What is it? If you know it, you total moron, then tell me.” Naruto’s unwavering gaze swerved back to met his hesitant one, and a huge grin found it way back into his face.

“I won’t tell you.”

Sasuke bristled. “Why you—”

“Even if I were to tell, you wouldn’t get it until you’ve been through it. It’s an answer to everything that confuses you, an answer to why Sakura-chan smiles at you, why you frowned when she smiled at me.” Naruto leaned closer to stare at Sasuke in the eye, murmuring slowly. “And the biggest question in the universe: why she loves a fucked-up guy like you.”

Sasuke looked away. “I’m an avenger…it’s useless for her to…because…because I’m afraid…”

“Afraid that you would hurt her? Isn’t that what we’re both afraid of, Sasuke?”

He glanced at the other with wide eyes, but Naruto was gazing out the window. “N-Naruto…you…”

“How long will it take for you to realize it?”

“I…don’t know,” Sasuke whispered.

“I can’t tell you now, but only this. You would realize that despite all your dreams and goals, just to be able to know that one thing and protect it…would be the greatest achievement in your life.” With a smile, Naruto poked Sasuke on the chest.

“And to be able to live knowing that this power was in you all along.”

The orange-clad ninja turned on his heels and lifted up the curtains once more. He spoke over his shoulder. “And did you know she sings? She sings…beautifully.”

Sasuke watched him leave the room with startled dark eyes.

I wasn’t blind, Sasuke. I knew—from the very, very beginning.

I just…I just didn’t want to lose the hope that someday, she would look at me.

And she did…with a smile as soft and pretty as her namesake, fluttering down in the days of spring. It was for me—only for me did she give me that simple curl of rosy lips.

But I knew it was a symbol of a special friendship that only she and I would share until days on end.

And when she looked at you, she gave you not friendship…but love.

I laughed in spite of myself. Did you remember, Sasuke?

The three of us fell into the spider web of Fate, who was probably laughing when she wove our lives together. Twelve years of life, the start of blasted puberty, set us in the certain equation of love: I had a crush on her of all girls, she had a crush on you like all girls, and you didn’t give a damn about it at all. Then, at the genin orientation, we were told that we were to be a team. I really thought at that time that Fate was now on the heaven’s floor, laughing her ass off like there was no tomorrow. We were a strange team, all right. A loud-mouthed blond boy aspiring to be Hokage, a pink-haired girl set on her petty ‘love,’ and a dark-haired boy with revenge in his brooding eyes. Stick a weird teacher who read perverted comic books to our team and we were complete.

I hated you, Sasuke. It wasn’t hard for a boy like me—with no acknowledgement, no talent, and no girls—to resent you, who had everything I wanted and took for granted. It sucked to be rated second. The strong ninjas always looked your way, eager to test their strength against yours. Then they would be forced to fight me—the insignificant midget—and lost. Haku, Neji, and Gaara—I was the ‘second choice’ who fought them.

But in the end, it didn’t matter. You and I became good comrades on the way. We fought each other, relied on each other, knew each other’s strengths and weaknesses…and protected each other. Like that time when you protect me from Haku’s needles, without a thought, without a flinch or doubt. At that critical moment, images of us fighting and arguing ran through my mind like an old movie film and I realized we knew each other so well, better than anyone else. On that misty day, we forged a bond of brotherhood. Others found it so ironic to see that happening between two boys who were opposites, standing on each end of the spectrum. But it was true, because since that day, we had a connection that could never be broken.

We both knew the true meaning of loneliness, the solitude that ate away our existences, the heavy empty pain. But Sakura didn’t. Her life was full—filled with those she loved and those who loved her. Her family, her friends, her goals, her…everything.

Wasn’t that the reason why we protected her?

Sakura was our innocent sister, and we didn’t want her to lose what we never had. That was the one true understanding we shared, something that was reached when our eyes—azure and obsidian—met in a brief moment, reflecting each other in clarity and strength. Protecting her was the thing that mattered most to the two of us. Everything else was pushed aside.

As the days grew shorter and our eyes aged like dusk, I just didn’t have ‘interest in her’—I…really, truly loved her. I loved the way she was so strong, the heart that was untainted, the emerald eyes that glinted in the light, translucent for the world to see the emotions that lurked in them. She filled the part of me that was empty.

I loved her even when she fell for you.

I was glad it was you she loved. Had it been anyone else, I would have either been extremely jealous like any love-struck boy or kicked his sorry ass to space like any self-righteous brother. But it was you, the best friend I loved as much as a brother. And that’s all right to me. I knew that in her heart, she loved me too, just not in the way I had wanted her to. I knew that she, too, had filled a special part of you like she did to me. What had worried me the most, however, was if you didn’t answer the same love she had for you.

But that doubt disappeared weeks after the disastrous Chuunin exam. As I was being taught the chidori by Kakashi-sensei, I caught Sakura smiling at me. I also caught the look of jealousy that flashed across your face when you saw that smile. If we had been strictly siblings, you wouldn’t have cared so much that I was the one who saved her and not you. Those times when you had gone for training, I knew why you trained so hard. I knew the questions you kept asking yourself: how can you grow strong enough to protect her.

And now, I’m assured. I was surprised for a moment, but another feeling replaced it: the bittersweet feeling of letting go the one you loved to another person. I stood near, unmoving as I watched her hold you ever so tightly, tears like small rivulets running down her heart-shaped face. As I watched your expression, blank if it wasn’t for your tender gaze, the expression of realization on your face that in spite of myself I smiled. I knew what you were thinking. She really cared for you; she loved you more than just a brother.

And…you loved her back just the same.

The blond ninja stepped outside of the hospital doors, glancing around for signs of the pink-haired girl. He couldn’t find her anywhere within the hospital. But in the quiet gardens of the hospital…

Can you hear me?

He smiled to himself. He could definitely hear her. He began to walk down the dirt path, following her distinct voice.

May the sky endlessly remain blue and clear.

He remembered running to the hospital, ecstatic to surprise Sakura at his arrival and the news of Tsunade. But when he reached the door, he heard her voice and stopped to listen. With little common sense that he had, he didn’t barge into the room and ruin the music. It was clear and resounding, like an angel’s song of comfort. It was a pretty lullaby, one he had never heard before. Her words floated past his ears in seamless motion, like the waves of the sea.

May the sea infinitely remain vast.

As he neared the center of her voice, he saw a concealed figure in the dark green shrubs. It was difficult to hold back the laughter coming out of him. The boy’s wardrobe sure had its uses in camouflage. He snuck up behind the person, taking care not to make any sound to expose his intentions. When he was close enough, he clamped a hand down on the boy’s shoulder, smirking as he saw the startled expression on the other’s face.

“What are you doing here, Lee?” he whispered.

The green beast of Konoha flushed crimson and looked down as he stuttered out his words. “I—I was taking a walk and I heard someone singing, so I was wondering who it was.”

May you always remain smiling.

Naruto grinned. This was the boy who had the guts to ask Sakura, a total stranger to him, to go out with him and promised her that he would protect her to the death. He looked up to see the kunoichi sitting on a park bench a few feet away, still singing. “It’s a nice song, huh?”

“Y-yeah…” But Lee’s face suddenly fell and darkened gloomily.

Otherwise, I’m going to cry.

Frowning, Naruto asked, “Hey, are you all right?”

“I’m fine…just…a lot of things on my mind lately.” Lee attempted to smile back reassuringly, but he failed at it. He grasped hold of his crutch and pulled himself into a standing position. Thankfully, Sakura was too immersed in her song to notice the two figures standing in the distance. “I better get going now. Nice seeing you, Naruto.” The disabled ninja turned to walk away silently.

“Yeah, see you later. Bye,” Naruto waved back at Lee.

You don’t have to look around anymore.

Naruto leaned on the base of the tree, smiling as he listened to her song. This song didn’t fit Sasuke very much. He doesn’t smile often, and Sakura cried too much for the sake of the idiot. But it was a comforting song, nonetheless, one that sang in hopes for something more peaceful and happier. And as much as Naruto had his own personal demons (well, rather one for that matter), Sasuke was even more twisted than him. The stuff that goes through Sasuke’s mind was really too much for Naruto to comprehend. Perhaps if Sasuke heard the song, he would change a little. It would be nice to see that taciturn teammate of his actually smile and stop thinking about power.

Everyone is in this hand of yours.

There was a rustle in the bushes and the singing stopped. Like a frightened deer, Sakura glanced around furtively, cheeks flushing pink in embarrassment. Naruto shook his mind in disappointment and stood up from his hiding spot.

“N-Naruto!” Sakura blushed even more at his appearance and laughed nervously. “What are you doing here?”

“No need to be embarrassed about singing, Sakura-chan,” he grinned good-naturedly.

“Eh—t-true…but…” As Naruto walked closer to her, he noticed her eyes.

“Sakura-chan…were you crying?” Sakura was startled at his keen perception, but she recovered quickly and smiled as naturally as she could.

“Why do you say that? I was just taking a walk,” she replied.

“Don’t lie to me. I’m part of your team, you know.” He bent forward to meet her bloodshot gaze, their noses barely touching. “…You were crying about Sasuke, weren’t you?”

She widened her eyes at the mention of name, but then her eyes fell to her lap. “I never seem to do anything but cry for him, ne, Naruto? I’m a failure as a ninja, as a teammate. I can never catch up with you guys...” Her voice was choking. “And when I tried to protect him, I ended up getting caught and you had to go through so much just to save me.” She shut her eyes tightly to stop the flow of tears. “I’m…I’m so sorry, Naruto.”

“There’s nothing to be sorry about, Sakura-chan.” A cheerful smile was still on his face. He bent down before her. “You’re strong, and you did the one thing that makes us an awesome team. Who knew what would have happened if Gaara had taken Sasuke? And nothing could make me any happier besides becoming Hokage than to be able to save you.”

“…B—but—not only that…I’m…I can’t…” Naruto’s eyes widened, but a smile lifted the corners of his lips and he touched her hand.

“It’s okay, Sakura.”

Those three words forced Sakura to look up in surprise. The look she saw—the look of pure love and bittersweet called more tears to well up her emerald eyes. She blinked them away and once again, a smile surfaced, one she had always kept for Naruto. She hugged him around the neck, whispering.

“Thank you. Thank you for everything.”

“Just sing to me the rest of your song,” he murmured back. “I want you to sing it to me this once.” She let go of him and nodded. He sat down next to her as she cleared her throat.

When you want to cry, or run away,

Or when you’ve forgotten what happiness is

Just sing

Light was born, and then darkness was born

The two are one

Feel the harmonia

Telepathy

Can you hear me?

As he listened, Naruto began to realize what this song was made for. It was a song for the three of them—about the three of them. When Sakura finished singing, he grinned at her with the same idiotic but warming grin. Without a clue of what Naruto was thinking about, she smiled back at him. She jumped up from her seat and grabbed his hand.

“Come on, let’s go and see Sasuke-kun!”

“Aa!” Naruto let her pull him away, finding warmth in her soft hand.

May Sakura be always true and clear as the sky.

May Sasuke remain deep as the vast ocean.

May Naruto always have a smile on his expression.

Everyone is in one hand, never apart. When life becomes hard, just sing this song and remember the people who are with you.

Naruto and Sasuke are the light and dark.

And Sakura is the harmony.

Author’s Ending Note: …Wow…I just made a romance one-shot for Naruto! YAY! dances around with chickens I made a pairing fic! Thank Kishimoto-sensei and his fast releases of the Naruto chapters! If it wasn’t for chapter 172 and 173, this story wouldn’t exist. I tried to make it as IC as possible, but it’s kind of hard to imagine Naruto (no offense to the guy) being perceptive…he’s pretty dense, you know… To tell you the truth, the introspection into Naruto’s thoughts was the first part I wrote, and then later, when I had more parts, I organized it into the middle.

Anyway, I hope you liked it, even if it wasn’t the pairing you had in mind. Thank you for reading and please review!

Eyes On Me

Bass clef: hey there, welcome to this one-shot song fic. Oh and I think I should tell all of you readers out there:

I’m very sorry for the delay in production. The reason why is because this month is very stressful on me, and I can't stop playing "Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisan" and once again I’m very sorry for the delays.

(Eyes On Me is in Naruto’s POV)

(Oh and if you didn’t read the summary this is AU-ish)

The time frame is around the legal drinking age here in the US. So I guess the former Genins are in their 20’s.

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, Kishimoto Masashi does. And the rights to “Eyes On Me” belong to Faye Wong and the recording company she recorded this song at.

I also hate Document manager for screwing up this fic. This has never happened before. DOCUMENT MANAGER MUST DIE! (I’m currently having an anime hangover) ugh my head…

Eyes On Me

Author: Bass Clef

After being a ninja for several years I suppose your normal life goes away. I never pay much attention to anything outside a mission, I barely say hello to my old teammates. Speaking of them, I wasn’t really surprised when Sakura and Sasuke broke up; I guess I have become too distant to notice. But that’s all in the past she wouldn’t be interested in me, it’s only been a few months since the two broke up.

Finally realizing that I haven’t eaten since this morning I walked into the recently built bar/café, just hoping that they had ramen. Looking around I see this small stage that also contained a piano for performances.

I was placing my order I heard some people talking about going on the stage. When I turned around to see they were, I found out that they were Sakura, Ino, Hinata, and Tenten. The group of women was arguing over something so I decided to eavesdrop.

“C’mon Sakura-chan go ahead and sing, you’re the best out of all of us. Sing your favorite song!”

“I don’t know I’m not used to singing in front of a large audience.”

“What big audience?”

“Huh?” Sakura asked while looking around, “ oh I guess you’re right” she answered.

Hearing their conversation I wondered what Sakura would be singing. Even after becoming an ANBU captain with all these life-threatening missions I never forgot about her. Eating my ramen silently allowed me to hear the beginning of the song.

Whenever sang my songs

On the stage, on my own

Whenever said my words

Wishing they would be heard

I saw you smiling at me

Was it real or just my fantasy?

You’d always be there in the corner

Of this tiny little bar

The only words that came out of my mouth were, “wow…” as I was amazed, I never heard Sakura sing. She was truly magnificent. I began to smile as it looked like she was looking right at me, being glad that I was there.

My last night here for youSame old songs, just once moreMy last night here with you?Maybe yes, maybe noI kind of liked it your wayHow you shyly placed your eyes on meDid you ever know that I had mine on you? The lyrics of the song seemed like they were talking about Sakura and me. I did have another mission tomorrow and I every mission is a “complete and survive, fail and die” situation. It never seemed like she had her eyes on me, all she did was hit me on the head or headlock me when we were younger, so it made me wonder. Darling, so there you areWith that look on your faceAs if you’re never hurtAs if you’re never downShall I be the one for youWho pinches you softly but sureIf frown is shown thenI will know that you are no dreamer As I began to get lost in the song and Sakura, all I wanted was she. Then I realized that my crush has become more than that. I fell in love with Haruno Sakura.

I waited patiently for more, but the song was over. I started walking towards the door when I felt someone’s hand on my shoulders,

hoping that it was Sakura so I turned around. I was at lost of words, just as I was about to say something she spoke up.

“Naruto… I... um… saw you out in the audience. Did you like the song?” She said softly.

“Yeah I really did. You were great out there and I never heard you sing”

“Well I never sing on stages, so it was my first time on one”

“Sorry Sakura, but I’ve got to go now. I have another mission tomorrow.” I said while gently taking her hands off my shoulders. As I was walking away I sensed something was wrong. What was wrong was leaving her. So let me come youClose as I want to beClose enough for meTo feel your heart beating fastAnd stay there as I whisperHow I love your peaceful eyes on meDid you ever know that I had mine on you?

“Please don’t go,” she cried. “Please stay, don’t leave me.”

“I’m... I’m sorry…I cant. What I had for you those many years ago… I don’t have it anymore… I’m sorry.” I was lying, lying to her and to myself. She was my true love, my special someone. “Sakura?’ I said turning to her. Darling, so share with meYour love if you have enoughYour tears if you’re holding backOr pain if that’s what it isHow can I let you knowI’m more than the dress and the voiceJust reach me out andYou will know that you’re not dreaming

“Yes?” her voice had some hope within it. Hoping I was lying, hoping that I would say something.

“I… I was lying. What I was going to say was that I love you.” When I looked in to her eyes they had the appearance of happiness,

yet they still held a tint of sadness.

“Naruto, after Sasuke and I broke up I had this feeling, but I didn’t know what it was. When I saw you tonight I finally figured it out.

What I’m trying to say is, I love you too.”

Darling so there you are

With that look on your face

As if you’re never hurt

As If you’re never down

Shall I be the one for you

Who pinches softly but sure

If frown is shown then I will know

That you are no dreamer

We stared into each other’s eyes as I came closer. The air seemed so tense, I could hardly breathe. When our lips met it felt like a

moment that was waiting for all eternity to happen, I never wanted it to end. Soon enough we stopped to catch our breaths. I was about to

lean in to kiss her again until she asked me something.

“Naruto, can you promise me something?”

“Eh? What is it Sakura?”

“Promise me that you’ll never leave me.”

“I promise Sakura. And I would never leave you, no matter what the cost.” I said to her. As we kissed once again we both knew

that we didn’t want this moment to end for it was our moment of true love.

END

Why? : Naruto thinks about his crush and why he likes Sakura, and if she'll ever return the feelings one-sided NaruSaku one-shot it may have an epilogue/conclusion.

Edited version of Goodbye: the edited version will be more solid. It won’t seem rushed this time, it may also have a epilogue/conclusion.

Updates:

The end of this month or early July I will update Young Love.
